DAVE FREELAND - TO KRISTIE b/w I WANT TO KNOW

man, this dude is bummmed. talk about loner basement etc. sounds like it was recorded in a cave with a broken mic thru a broken pair of headphones, with a broken heart. awesome. gives some of the biggees in this "genre" a run for their $$$$. produced by eric wrobbel circa 1971 on the aptly named distortion records from pontiac, michigan!

TRONICS - LOVE BACKED BY FORCE

tronicscover
tronicslabel

ziro baby , baby de vivienne as the tronics in loved back by force. this long player is a classic , so awesome. all heart, lite on that pesky music that always seems to get in the way of good records. has beat happening ever talked about being majorly inspired by the tronics? maybe. i'm just putting this up so buick can add "t.v. on in the bed" to his tv songs tape vol. 2 , but he probably already has this. so, have at it. from 1981 on alien records.

tom n' jerrys ROCKETS - ON THE ROAD AGAIN

rocketscover

for fans of italo disco, kraut rock, and boogie ??? maybe. i don't know. it's a weirdee for sure.they're a french groop featuring germany's "legendary" zeus b. held on vocoder. i saw a site that said it was like gino soccio meets zz top. hmm, ok. how about 70's giorgio moroder meets canned heat (see opening track) , or john foxx (whom zeus b. collab'd with) meets birth control ( zeus b. helds orig. kraut rock group), or kraftwerk jamming with the theme song from chips? no wait , it totally sounds like andromeda ,the fake band from the rock n roll episode of buck rogers. that's it. whatever they're bald and silver that's what's important. from 1977 on tom n' jerry records a subsidiary of salsoul!
